GDictate
Terms of use
These terms cover the GDictate Chrome extension (store name: Gmail Dictation - GDictate) and this website, https://gdictate.com/. Installing the extension or using the site means you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy at https://gdictate.com/privacy/.
What it does
GDictate types your speech into a Gmail draft on https://mail.google.com. You read the draft. You press Send in Gmail. Saying “send” types that word. It does not send the email. The command “stop” ends listening. It does not send the email.
Polish and Structure, if you click them, return an edit of the text you selected. They are a convenience. You are responsible for what you send, including names, dates, amounts, and who is on the thread.
Your account and your machine
You need your own Gmail account and a browser that can run the extension (Chrome or Edge). You are responsible for the microphone permission you grant to Gmail. We do not take over your Google account.
Acceptable use
Do not use Polish or Structure to break the law, to send text you have no right to transmit to a language-model provider, or to hammer the API past its rate limits. We can refuse requests, apply a temporary limit, or block an install id or IP address when the API is abused.
The service can change
GDictate is free at the date of these terms. Features can change, pause, or stop, including Polish and Structure. Voice commands and recognition depend on your browser’s speech service. We do not promise that a particular language, command, or Gmail layout will work forever.
No warranty
The extension and this site are provided as is. We do not warrant uninterrupted dictation, accurate recognition, or that a polished sentence says what you meant. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for an email you send, for Gmail or Chrome downtime, or for loss of a draft.
Names
Gmail, Chrome, and Google are trademarks of Google LLC. GDictate is not made by Google. OpenRouter is a separate service used only when you click Polish or Structure.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to use the extension after that date means you accept the new terms.
